My dad needs to carry 400lbs. of cargo in my X5 and I wonder if an X5 could support the weight in the rear cargo bay? Has any one ever put anything like that in their X5? I have read the owner's manual and it didn't say anything about the weight limit that you can put on the rear axels. please help me?

400 lbs should be a problem. How far do you need to tarvel?

That is just like putting two guys in the back. I do not think it will be an issue.

It will NOT be a problem - UNLESS it's two dead bodies or 30 loose bowling balls!

Just check the tire pressure to be safe.

Yup, inflate the tires to Maximum Load and you should be good to go!
